I used it for about a year, but for the next few years it was kept in the kitchen as an interior decoration. The diameter of the bottom of the kettle is approximately 24 cm, and the diameter of the base is approximately 25.5 cm. I have never rubbed it with a scrub brush or steel wool, but there are some minor scratches due to age. When I put it up for sale, I tried boiling water, but the light came on and the whistle on the bird cap also rang . It has a simple silver and ivory design, so I think it will match any kitchen.
