This hat is pure beaver and is very comfortable to wear the felt weight is 120G and the felt sheds water like the surface has been waxed. I know this because I had to wet and steam the felt to get it on the block. This hat has a great western shape and if you want I can straighten out the brim or cut it down in width to make a nice fedora, the crown can be shaped to fit your needs. I signed the back side of the leathersweatband with the date that I finished making the hat, Busted Hats.

I do all the work myself; I do not haveanyone to help me when I make a hat, and every hat starts out as a blank furfelt that I shape using hot steam, then the felt is pulled over a wooden hatblock. Each hat takes 2 weeks to complete.

Shipping

I ship my hats in boxes14"x14"x7", I make a cylinder shape using poster board and tapethat to the center of the box, then fill the area around the cylinder withbubble wrap, I place the hat inside a clear plastic bag and put the hat intothe box with the crown of the hat in the cylinder, I place 2 layers of bubblewrap over top of the brim, then I put a shipping label inside the box, a letterto the customer, a packing slip and everything has the customers address onit, then I use packaging tape on the outside of the box, covering all joints toprotect against odors and or dust, then I tape a shipping label to the box, ifyou open the box on the side with the label you will be looking at the bottomof the brim, after removing the bubble wrap and the paper work.
